Can't Bound - Gay Art Male Art by Michael Taggart Photography

There are so many things we KNOW we can’t do.

We can’t – because we’re too shy, too fat, too thin, too scared.

We erect our fences

but they don’t keep others out – they keep us in.

Let your fences go – be open – really open – and see what amazing things can happen for you.

Because there is no greater pain than the hopeless frustration of knowing you cant!

So the theme for this week is the 4 elements – which most people know as Earth, Fire, Water, Air. However, the four elements are also know as Man, Woman, Thought, Feelings (matching man to fire, woman to earth, thought to air, feelings to water).

I was inspired by the element of thought. What would my Thought Bubble look like?? This is what I came up with. Hope you like it!

The Scottish legend has it that Selkie can take off their seal skins and become human. Male selkies are very handsome in their human form, and have great seduction powers over humans.

Be wary of them. They will seduce you and give you the greatest night of your life but their first love is always the sea.

Heaven – gay art male art by Michael Taggart Photography

Contemplative Handsome Man

Heaven - Gay Art Male Art by Michael Taggart Photography

I grew up Pentecostal – and I’m gay – so I’m totally kicked out of heaven. Bar the door – throw away the key – get the hell out!It was a rough time coming to terms with the way I grew up and the man I was becoming. I’d always had a close relationship with god and fortunately I realized one day that I still had that. The higher power in my life was still there and still loved me.

Over time I’ve ceased to think of heaven as some mystical place we get to when we die – but rather it is all around me all the time. I’m most aware of it in the quiet moments.
When my cat wakes me up with his snoring.
When Harold falls asleep on the couch and I cover him up with the blanket and put away his glasses
When I watch a great movie or read a great book that makes me think about life a new way.
And always always always when I’m grateful.

So that is what I wanted to capture with this picture. A heavenly guy having a quiet heavenly moment.

I hope you have a bit of heaven in your life today.

: ) Michael

Sexy Vampire Bite

Fresh Bitten - Gay Art Male Art by Michael Taggart Photography

What would you do if one minute your strutting you’re stuff, being all sexy – and suddenly you’re bitten by a vampire?

For me – my first thought would be survival. If you’re drained dry you can’t even have a life as the ‘undead’.
Then I would find a werewolf and get bitten. I figure if vampires are real then werewolves have to be real too – right?

Hopefully the werewolf and vampire powers would help cancel out their weaknesses!
